Take Five: Furniture with Curves

As the world was shutting down in early March of 2020, I watched lead times for furniture increase daily. I quickly made the decision to order some pieces I had been considering and I am so glad I did. I had no idea that the long lead times would still be happening over a year later. The furniture was delivered just as Wisconsin was starting lockdown so the delivery team left the furniture outside and talked to me through the front door. My husband and I unboxed it outside while wearing gloves and masks so we wouldn’t bring the virus into the house. The only furniture that I’ve bought for my own home since then have been vintage pieces. I’m not the most patient person, but am happy to wait for something that I really love. Here are a few great pieces of furniture worth waiting for. Curvy furniture is having a moment so I chose five pieces with beautiful curves.

Take Five: Favorite Paint Colors

Paint colors can be really tricky to get right. The color is going to look different depending on the lighting, time of day, other elements in the room, and the natural light. I like to have multiple paint samples to put in various spots in the room and then check on them at different times during the day. I also recommend actually putting the paint samples on the wall instead of on a flat surface. The color will change if the light is hitting it at a different angle. Today I am sharing some of my favorite paint colors. I couldn’t narrow it down to just five so I guess this is more of a Take Six. These are colors I use often because they are not only beautiful but tend to work well in lots of different situations. I hope you check them out for your next project.
