The bar cabinet

A typical Friday night in our house usually involves pizza, popcorn and a movie. We are homebodies through and through and rarely grow tired of this plan. The only thing that makes our Friday nights even better is when family and friends stop over to join us. We entertained a lot last year and it was SO MUCH FUN. This year I hope to finish a few projects around the house to make it easier to entertain. The first project I’m tackling is a bar cabinet. Our current “bar” situation is pathetic at best and resembles a hodgepodge you’d expect to see at a high school party. We need to step up our cocktail game around here.

I love a good bar cart. They look great for photos, but I’ve got little kids and teenagers to think about. I want to be able to close the doors and lock it when not in use.

See? So pretty, but I don’t want to be the unintentional host of one of those high school parties. This next photo has closed storage and the bar essentials can be displayed on the top during entertaining.

This next example is so pretty and would work if I could find one that locks. Let’s all agree that this piece is a stunner.

I found a cabinet that I think would work well, but it’s currently out of stock. I’ll keep looking for now. Cheers!
